Free story in honor of Apollo 11: "The Eagle Has Landed"

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing, I'm uploading for free my short story "The Eagle Has Landed," first published in the 2005 DAW anthology I, Alien, edited by Mike Resnick and Martin H. Greenberg. You can read the full text for free right here.

Hi Rob,

Great story! Thanks for sharing that.

Hopefully we'll see mankind on the Moon (or beyond) again in our lifetimes.

Take Care,

Lou Prosperi

I made a quick survey at work regarding the moon landing.

A large percentage of the people I work with believe the moon landing was a hoax. Others simply don't care, or saying that humanity shouldn't spend resources on human space exploration, and that humans won’t and on the moon (or on any other planetary body outside Earth) before the 22nd century. I think it's sad. (I don’t think putting all your eggs in one basket is a good long term survival strategy for humanity.)

Perhaps this is where SF writers can make a difference.
