Walter Day is the founder of Twin Galaxies, the oldest video game scorekeeping and adjudication service in history. Walter Day is known as the creator of e-sports and has often been called The Patron Saint of Video Games. His remarkable efforts to find, verify and catalog video game world records has led to a decades-long partnership with the Guinness World Records book.

Winner of the Hugo, Nebula, and John W. Campbell Memorial Awards

Robert J. Sawyer is one of only eight writers ever to have won all three of the world's top awards for best science-fiction novel of the year: the Hugo (for Hominids), the Nebula (for The Terminal Experiment), and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award (for Mindscan). He's also won the top science-fiction awards in Canada (thirteen times), Japan (three times), Spain (three times), and China. According to the Locus Index to Science Fiction Awards, he has won more awards for his novels than any other author in the history of the science fiction and fantasy genres.

The ABC TV series FlashForward was based on his Aurora Award-winning novel of the same name, and he was one of the scriptwriters for that series. Rob-who holds two honorary doctorates-has published in both the world's top scientific journals, Science (guest editorial) and Nature (fiction). In 2013 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General of Canada, and in 2014 he was one of the initial nine inductees into the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.

The Walter Day Collection of Science Fiction Trading Cards has been created to commemorate the history of the global science fiction industry, honoring the literature, the authors, the culture, and the historic milestones.

Sawyer, thanking him for creating many award-winning literary works in the science fiction genre that have both entertained up and uplifted our spirits.
