But I swear I only wore the Star Trek uniform for five minutes, as I was having my picture taken on a mock-up of the bridge of the Enterprise as part of a fund-raiser to save the Movieland Wax Museum figures of the classic Trek crew ...

You mean to tell the world that you do NOT have a custom-made TOS-style Command-Gold tunic in your clothes closet as a hedge against either future conventions or fan film recruitment?

The other people I was posing with were writing students of mine, and they felt I should wear the command shirt ... :)
Kirstin Morrell opted for a red shirt, which doubtless says something significant ... :)
Could be she figures her odds are still only 1 in 4 that she'd end up in Security. Most of the rest of the red-shirt departments were relatively safe, yes? :-)
