Most stylish SF TV show ever ...
... was Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's UFO, filmed in 1969, but set in 1980. YouTube's got the opening credit sequence (with Barry Gray's wonderful theme music) here.
NOTE: Click on the "Watch in high quality" link just below the "Views" hit counter.
Really, quite an ambitious undertaking: cars, fashions, hairstyles, all created for a coherent future (and not using the usual SF-show copout of having everyone wear the same basic uniform).
(Barry Gray also did the theme song to Fireball XL5, which you can hear here.)

Rob,
Thanks for the link. I've seen ads for this show at cons for years, but never saw it myself. Was it ever broadcast in the States?
I was linking around on YouTube and found a user named: randywilharm. He's got an entire ep called "Timelash" broken into several parts of course. I noticed it said 1986 in the opening titles and some of the scenes were reversed from the clip you shared. Was this from a later season or a movie after the series had ended?
Anyway thanks for posting and "wasting my time" ;-)

TIMELASH was part of the original series (which lasted one season). It was one of the later episodes, and is very, very cool. The series was shown at least once in the US, around 1970. HOpe you enjoy it! (The whole series is out on DVD, by the way.)
Talking about theme tunes, I have some sad news for Star Trek fans. Alexander Courage has died. It happened on May 15th, but I only heard about it today.
I remember watching this when I was 5 years old. I made my mother very angry that i wanted to watch this show instead of hearing a bedtime story. Watching the theme song again, brought it all back. It was a cool show. thanks for reminding me of it
