Ho, ho, ho!
Christmas has come and gone, and Carolyn and I had pleasant times visiting both her family (on the 25th) and mine (on the 26th).
For those who are curious, among the goodies we got were:
DVDs:
- Casino Royale
- Cloverfield
- The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (special edition)
- Ironman
- Sex and the City, the movie
- The Big Bang Theory, Season One
- Doctor Who, Season Three
- Heroes, Season One
- Mad Men, Season One
BOOKS:
- In Search of Time by Dan Falk
- The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill (published in the US as Someone Knows My Name; without doubt the hottest recent Canadian-authored novel)
- Death by Black Hole by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
- Plus four, count 'em, four Chapters gift cards

And this evening, those Chapters gift cards became, among other things:
the complete TV series Quark on DVD,
the new biography of Pierre Berton,
the book Schneier on Security,
the book Star Trek and Philosophy: The Wrath Of Kant (which has to be worth it even if just for the title),
and the book Lyrics 1964-2008 by Paul Simon,
all of which leaves me feelin' groovy.
I wish I had got Chapters gift cards for Christmas... just finished ordering a bunch of books I need for school - and one I didn't ... one o' yours, which I just wrote about on my Flitting on Fiction blog, if you're interested :)
Hello--
Delightful to find an author that's a real person as well. You've earned my business--I'll be checking out your work.
By the way, Flit sent me. :)
Regards,
