National Post interviews Robert J. Sawyer
Today's National Post -- a major Canadian daily newspaper, available coast to coast -- interviews me about tonight's debut of the TV series FlashForward, based on my novel of the same name.
The terrific photo above, taken by Post photographer Peter J. Thompson, accompanies the article, which was written by Mark Medley.
FlashForward premieres tonight -- Thursday, September 24, 2009 -- at 8:00 p.m. / 7:00 p.m. Central on ABC in the US and CTV's /A\ in Canada.

I'll say it again: the Eagle's a great design. They just couldn't make room for a proper toilet location. The fan blueprinters - Mandel, Baldaserri, et al. - are still arguing to this day over where to put the thing! :-)
Looking forward to the "puck drop" tomorrow night. Or tonight, if you prefer.
Hi Robert,
Congratulations on the show. We are so looking forward to watching tonight. We wish you continued success. We're so excited.
Mary Anne Knighton
On which channel is it in Canada?
For some reason I can't see it on CTV's program guide.

Hi, Mary Anne. Thank you! Your son Zachary Knighton is FABULOUS in the first episode. You're going to be very, very pleased -- and I'm sure you're very proud!
I'll be watching here at the Banff Centre...
Hey Robert,
We caught the first episode of FlashForward this evening and were blown away. We're hoping it has a long run. My wife and I love your books and are hoping this show will fill the void left by BSG.
Very Best Regards,
Art and Cathy Hall
The show was amazing. I loved seeing the mechanic of the book come to life. Also, as a lost fan, I was happy to see some hidden references (like the Oceanic poster in the background in the stakeout scene).
I wrote to you on this blog years ago, telling you then about all the similarities I saw with your FlashForward and Lost. Now that there's the new show now (and in the works for the past 2 years), I just wanted to touch base again and wish you all the best. You're terribly talented, and I'm in awe of your imagination. I hope many young writers see you as an example and reminder for them to follow their passions. As always, all the best,
Stephanie Klein
I and my wife watched the show and we both loved it.
In Calgary it was played on ABC, (Channel 5 on Shaw) at 21:00. (For some reason, we don't have CTV's /A\ channel)
I would like to personally thank you, Rob, for writing FlashForward.
